Snow is moving through the area, and will continue to do so off and on through Sunday, creating hazardous driving conditions across much of the region.

Away from high terrain, accumulations will be minor, mainly between 1 to 3 inches. At higher elevations, snow totals will approach half a foot, with up to a foot of snow possible in the Little Belts.

Winds will be strong Saturday, gusting over 30 miles per hour, and blowing and drifting snow is likely. Travel will be difficult on roads through and adjacent to high terrain.

Portions of US 87 and US 89 through and around the Little Belts look to be especially difficult Friday night through Sunday.

In addition, there is a Winter Weather Advisory for the following counties: Judith Basin, Fergus, Cascade.

* WHAT…Snow occurring. Additional snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches at lower elevations and 3 to 8 inches in the mountains.

* WHERE…Meagher, Judith Basin, Fergus and Cascade Counties.

* WHEN…Until 11 PM MST this evening.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Travel could be very difficult. A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Expect snow covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
