One person died in a fire in Shepherd on Monday.
The Yellowstone County Sheriff’s Office and the Shepherd Volunteer Fire Department are investigating the early morning house fire that happened on Peaceful Plateau Trail.
Yellowstone County Coroner Cliff Mahoney confirmed to MTN News that a person has died.
He has not yet released the identity of the person.
The mobile home appears to be a complete loss. The area was blocked off by caution tape and they are treating the entire area as a crime scene.
There is no word yet on the cause of the fire.

Shepherd is about 18 miles north/northeast of Billings.
