Vehicle crashes into residence in Billings

BILLINGS – A 34-year old-Billings woman crashed her car into a house Saturday afternoon.

The woman was driving a black Chevy Suburban east on Lewis Avenue when she was called in for reckless driving.

“A car in the oncoming lane had to swerve out of the way to avoid the reckless driver,” Sgt. Cagle with the Billings Police Department said.

The woman continued east on Lewis Avenue until a witness said she suddenly swerved into the front yard of a residence, hitting the house, and disconnecting a fire hydrant.

Minimal damage was done to the home.

The driver was taken to a Billings hospital, but no other injuries were reported.

Alcohol is a suspected factor in the incident.
