Victim identified in Mission Valley crash that injured three others

(UPDATE) The Lake County Sheriff’s Office has identified the man who died in Saturday’s crash as 68-year-old Billy J. Cody of Rexford, Montana.

It happened on US Highway 93 south of Pablo.

Sheriff Don Bell announced Monday that Cody died in the collision. His passenger, a 36-year-old man — also from Rexford — was also hurt in the crash along with two 21-year-old men from Lodge Grass in the other vehicle.

MHP is continuing to investigate the crash, and say that alcohol is believed to have played role.


(1st Report) One person died and three others were hurt after a two-vehicle crash on US Highway 93 south of Pablo on Saturday.

The Montana Highway Patrol reports the crash happened at around 10 a.m. on Saturday when the driver of a pickup truck failed to yield at an intersection resulting in a T-bone crash with another pickup truck.

Two 21-year-old men from Lodge Grass in one of the vehicles were both injured in the crash while a 68-year-old man from Rexford who was driving the other pickup truck was killed in the crash. His passenger, a 36-year-old man — also from Rexford — was also hurt in the accident.

MHP is continuing to investigate the accident, but authorities say that alcohol is believed to have played a part in the crash.
