The National Weather Service in Great Falls has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Rocky Mountain Front, as well as areas above 5,000 feet in Lewis & Clark, Cascade, and Judith Basin counties; the advisory will be in effect from 6 PM on Saturday until 3 PM Sunday.
Along the Rocky Mountain Front, anywhere from 3 to 6 inches of accumulating mountain snow is expected, with locally higher amounts possible.
Elsewhere , between 1 and 3 inches is expected above 5,000 feet, and locally higher amounts above pass level.
As wintry weather begins arriving in parts of Montana, people are advised to keep track of road and weather conditions.
