2 people dead in rollover crash on I-90 near Manhattan

BOZEMAN — Two people died in a rollover crash on I-90 between Three Forks and Manhattan on Saturday afternoon, according to the Montana Highway Patrol.

MHP said crash happened at about 1:30 p.m. at mile marker 284 on the interstate.

A 46-year-old man was eastbound on I-90 with passengers when his vehicle began to enter the median at a right curve in the road.

The man overcorrected to the right and then to the left, according to MHP. His vehicle entered and crossed the median, then went into a roll across the westbound lane of the interstate.

The man’s vehicle struck a second vehicle driven by a 31-year-old woman as it rolled.

According to MHP, a 41-year-old woman and a 14-year-old girl were in the vehicle that rolled and died at the scene.

A total of seven people were involved in the incident, with three others reportedly sustaining injuries.

No further information about the extent of injuries or condition of other people in the crash was immediately available.

The names of the two people who died have not yet been released, and the MHP is continuing to investigate.
