- U.S. farmers and ranchers are hiring more people, and spending more on payroll, according to a recent report from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Wages for field and livestock employees are up about 4% from last year, at about $14.21 per hour.
- Mexico-Canada-U.S. trade agreement still stalled, but discussions continue among lawmakers.
- New survey indicates that the hemp industry may eventually become the third-largest agricultural crop in the U.S.
