GREAT FALLS — The Cascade County Tavern Association uses their program "Home Safe" to help people get home safely during the holidays and throughout the year.
On New Year's Eve the association had a dozen drivers in their shuttle vehicles and other donated SUV's to get people home safe.
Organizers say for the month of December they gave over 300 rides, helping more than 500 people get home safely.
Executive Director of the association John Hayes says he wants people to have a plan if they are going out to drink.
“Whether it's involving us or involving a free ride on New Year’s Eve or any other time, go out and have a good time and make sure you have a plan on how you’re going to get home”.
The program runs all year through participating bars and a partnership with BlackedOut 406 Taxi and Uber.
