GREAT FALLS — Great Falls Public Schools announced on Thursday that Whittier Elementary School will remain closed through Friday, February 26, due to complications with frost damage to the plumbing and pipes, as well as extensive complications with the boiler and heating systems. The school closed earlier this week due to the frozen pipes.

As a result, Whittier students will continue remote learning through February 26.

GFPS said in a news release that packet drop-off and pick-up is scheduled for Monday, February 22, from 2-4 pm at the school, and the school office will remain open throughout the entire closure. Call the office if you have questions or concerns at 268-7230.

Meals for each day will be made available from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm at Paris Gibson Education Center for Whittier students. Call the Food Service Office each day at 268-6047 by 9:30 am to order the meals.

Continue to check the GFPS website and Facebook page for more information as it becomes available.
