GREAT FALLS — A truck crashed through a guardrail along River Drive in Great Falls on Friday morning and slid down an embankment toward the Missouri River.
The driver of the truck was injured and taken to a hospital; the nature and extent of the person's injuries have not been released, but they are not believed to be life-threatening.
It happened along River Drive near 25th Street North a little before 9 a.m. on Friday.
Jeremy Jones, assistant chief of Great Falls Fire Rescue, said the truck sustained a small diesel leak, but the fuel tank it was hauling did not leak.
River Drive was blocked from 38th Street North to 15th Street North for several hours, as was a section of River's Edge Trail.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
