GREAT FALLS — Students and staff at Great Falls College-MSU may feel a little more appreciated thanks to a celebration of National Random Acts of Kindness Day.

David Mariani, the Montana Campus Compact Americorps Leader at the school, passed out candy to students in the Connections 101 class on Wednesday morning. He also placed candy around campus for students and staff.

The candy came with business cards for various staff members at the college and cards for the National Suicide Hotline.

"We're just trying to bring a little cheer to campus and students who have been facing some challenges in life with terrible weather, difficult holidays, and we've got COVID of course. Then, we're deep into the semester, our eight week blocks here at the college, so we've got a lot of stressed students,” Mariani explained.

Wednesday’s effort was also in celebration of National Brotherhood and Sisterhood Week.

Mariani wears a lot of hats, but perhaps none more impactful than his role as the supervisor for the student food pantry; click here to read more.
