GREAT FALLS — Punxsutawney Phil, the iconic groundhog of Gobbler's Knob in Pennsylvania, saw his shadow on Tuesday morning, meaning six more weeks of winter. But here in Great Falls, Phil the Groundhog at Prairie Mountain Bank predicted an early spring.
The Prairie Mountain Bank team celebrated Groundhog Day with a groundhog-themed breakfast.
This is the 18th year that Prairie Mountain Bank has celebrated the groundhog holiday, giving the city of Great Falls its own Groundhog Day tradition.
“It’s been nice that people have been able to get out and enjoy this nice weather, said Laura Vukasin, Market President of Prairie Mountain Bank. “Phil predicted an early spring, so he didn’t see his shadow, and we’re happy about that here at Prairie Mountain Bank.”
