GREAT FALLS — The opening date for Hokkaido Ramen & Sushi Bar in Great Falls has been announced: Tuesday, September 1st.
The website for the company states: "Our specialties are the Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen, the Spicy Miso Ramen, and the Unagi Don, but whatever you order, it’s sure to be delicious!"
Owner Johnny Deng told MTN News they were busy serving up fresh food during their soft opening over the weekend and on Monday.
Deng said he's happy to be officially open and is ready to safely satisfy appetites with his menu: "We're taking care of them - we're responsible for the Great Falls people,” he said. “That’s the only reason why we came here - to help the Great Falls people.
The new restaurant is in the Great Falls Marketplace in the space formerly occupied by Pizza Hut, right next to Cold Stone Creamery. Hokkaido began renovating the space in mid-January, and the 3,774-square foot restaurant features quick-service, take-out, and dine in options. They had initially been hoping to open in last Spring and then mid-July, but Deng said that delays due to COVID-19 pushed back the opening date.
The restaurant hours are Mondays through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

There are also Hokkaido restaurants in Helena and Bozeman.
