GREAT FALLS — The Great Falls Parent Participation Preschool is hosting an open house event on Wednesday, February 24th, and Thursday, February 25th. The open house will be held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on both days, to allow parents and guardians to come see the facility, meet the teacher, and ask any questions. From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., parents can also come see their classes and early childhood education program.
“If people want to see the actual classroom and children in it and then what we do in our class, they’re welcome to come early at 10 o’clock, but you can come in the afternoon when we don’t have our children here and so that way, I can answer questions one-on-one with each parent, if they have any concerns,” said teacher Rosean Harris.
The Great Falls Parent Participation Preschool is a Parent Co-op school, which means the parents or guardians of the students are involved in all school topics and activities.
The GFPPP has been providing early childhood education to the Great Falls community for more than 35 years. Parents at the school say they enjoy having an active role in their child’s education.
“Well, that’s the benefit of it, is to be able to see what’s going on, to be able to be really involved with everything, to go on all the field trips, to see all of the themes that they’re learning,” said parent Jennifer Tremblay. “Mrs. Harris does a great job, she has a different theme every single week and it’s really, really in depth on that theme and the kids just most of the time, they’re crying when they leave because they don’t want to leave, rather than the other way around when they cry when they’re dropped off.”
Registration to sign up for the 2021-2022 school year will also be available starting on Wednesday, February 24th.
Applications for the 2021-2022 school year can be found at the Great Falls Parent Participation Preschool, located at 2326 1st Avenue North. Click here to visit the school website.
