GREAT FALLS — Scores of shoppers headed to downtown Great Falls on Saturday for the first Downtown Summer Market.

Vendors spaced out along Central Avenue to accommodate the public’s social distancing needs.

Jewelry booths, a zone for kids, and food trucks were among the dozen or so vendors present at the market.

Kellie Pierce with the Downtown Great Falls Association said they thought this would be a fun way for people to get outside and safely support small businesses.

“Our businesses just need our support. It's been a really rough go of it the last couple of months, so whatever we can do to support them,” said Pierce.

With the Great Falls Farmers’ Market on an indefinite hold, this market allowed vendors the opportunity to showcase their goods.

There has yet to be an announcement as to whether another market like this will take place this summer.
