GREAT FALLS — Three members of Great Falls Fire Rescue were officially “pinned“ and awarded their new badges after taking an oath of office at Fire Station 1 on February 8th.

The three members were Jay Jarrett, Steve Tucker, and Alexander Ehnes.

  • Jarrett was promoted to Battalion Chief and has been with GFFR since July of 2000. Jarrett previously served the community of Great Falls as a Captain/Paramedic.
  • Tucker was promoted to Lieutenant and has been with the department since January of 2014. He previously served the Great Falls community as an Engineer/EMT.
  • Ehnes was promoted to Firefighter and has been with the department since March of 2020. He previously served the Great Falls community as a probationary Firefighter/EMT.

A news release from GFFR says the oath of office signifies their commitment to the new position they promoted into.

The ceremony was small and attended by immediate family members only due to CDC-recommended Covid protocol.

There will be many new promotions taking place at GFFR over the following months, and a larger, more formal ceremony will take place as the Covid infection rate significantly decreases.
