GREAT FALLS — The Roadhouse Diner in Great Falls is known for creating unique burgers to mark special occasions, and on Halloween, they whipped up a "creepy cricket burger."

Owners Jason and Tara Beam worked with Cowboy Cricket Farms near Bozeman to get the special ingredients for the cricket burgers. The company specializes in selling crickets to people as food, offering products such as "chocolate chirp cookies."

Tara explained, "I reached out to them and they have fun cinnamon jumpers, wasabi jumpers, smokey jumpers, so I tried these little babies and ultimately decided to go with the smokey jumper. And not only incorporate them into a burger but wanted to incorporate them them into a dessert."

That dessert is a "salted caramel cricket cheesecake," and they are also serving up "cricket shooters."

The creepy delights will be served until 8:30 pm on Halloween. The diner is at 613 15th Street North.
