GREAT FALLS — The next round of Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans to help businesses impacted by the pandemic becomes available January 11, and the Great Falls Development Authority is ready to help people apply.

There are certain documents you need to have and calculations you can make before you apply that will make the process easier.

The GFDA encourages you to call if you have any questions and someone can walk you through what you need.

During the first round of loans in 2020, the development authority was able to get millions of dollars for people by helping them apply through a bank or credit union. Up to $284 billion is available nationwide in the second round.

“We're getting a list together of the banks and credit unions that are doing this round,” said Nathan Reiff, GFDA Small Business Development Center business advisor. “If you're struggling with (finding a bank or credit union), we also are eligible. The Great Falls Development Authority is eligible as a PPP lender.”

The deadline to apply for loans in the second round is March 31.
