GREAT FALLS — The Salvation Army of Great Falls will again be distributing free 25-pound boxes of produce provided as a part of the Coronavirus Farm Assistance Program recently passed by Congress.
The 25-pound boxes of fresh produce will contain a variety of produce free to anyone. Boxes may include potatoes, yellow onions, apples, oranges, yams or sweet potatoes, stonefruit, strawberries, broccoli and carrots mix, and more.
There are no qualifications or income requirements to receive these produce boxes, which are free to all. This will be a drive-through event.
The Salvation Army will distribute to the first 50 households beginning at 2 pm on Thursday, June 4th, in the parking lot of their facility at 1000 17th Avenue South.
They ask that cars enter the parking lot from the direction of 9th Street South and exit toward 13th Street South. Vehicles will not be permitted to turn left into the parking lot. If you are able, they ask that people carpool to cut down on traffic. Vehicles will not be permitted to line up before 2 pm.

Last week was the first of the 'Farmers To Families' event, which are scheduled to take place take place every week through October. Last Thursday's event was held in the parking lot of Holiday Village Mall, and proved so popular that it created traffic jams along 10th Avenue South near the mall.
