GREAT FALLS — A popular film festival that benefits Great Falls Ski Patrol is going virtual.
The Banff Film Festival is normally held at the Civic Center in downtown Great Falls, but because of the pandemic you’ll have to watch the videos online this year.
The films cover a variety of topics, including national parks and extreme sports.
A portion of every ticket sold through the Great Falls Ski Patrol’s link to the films will go to the ski patrol.
The organization provides medical and rescue response at Showdown Ski Resort.
"This has always been our only fundraiser. We're not anticipating getting as much income from this this year due to the circumstances, but every little bit helps,” said Great Falls Ski Patrol member Justin Grohs.
The Great Falls Ski Patrol Facebook page says: "The single program ($15USD) will have a 3 day rental period, and the bundle of two programs ($28USD) will have a rental period of 14 days. Customers can view the films as many times as they like during the rental period which begins immediately upon viewing (that is, as soon as they hit play)."
