GREAT FALLS — The C.M. Russell Museum announced that it will be closed effective today until September 17th due to an employee who reportedly is symptomatic for COVID-19.
A news release from the Museum ways that while this employee has not received a positive COVID-19 test result, the organization wants to "make this proactive step to best protect patrons and the staff as a whole."
“The Museum is exercising additional precaution, by not waiting for positive Covid-19 test result. We thank the public and the Great Falls community, in advance, for their understanding and support,” said Museum director Tom Figarelle.
He added that the Russell Exhibition and Sale, scheduled for September 12th, will proceed as planned. The event is virtual and a remote-only event, so the Museum’s closure will have no impact.
Fall exhibitions, scheduled to open in October 2020, will also proceed as planned.
