GREAT FALLS — The owner of Bright Eyes Cafe in Great Falls is doing her part to help those in need in the community.
Beth McKinney explained that with the “Pay It Forward” program, customers can pre-purchase a meal or a drink, or simply put money on a gift card, and place place a note on a board inside the shop. Anyone with a hungry belly can then come in and enjoy a meal they otherwise wouldn’t be able to because of their circumstances.
McKinney says she got the idea for the “Pay It Forward” wall from her mother, Cheryl Preciado, who passed away from complications with lupus in January 2019.
“It’s just the way I was raised,” said McKinney. “My mom was a single mom and she figured out a way to, you know, not always say ‘no’ and even when we were on our hardest times, she always found a way to help somebody else. So we definitely wanted to make sure that we carried that forward.”
