GREAT FALLS — With social distancing measures in place, it's not the ideal time to have a party or a birthday for that matter. But Monday night, 9-year-old Olivia Bogner of Great Falls celebrated her special day with friends - at a distance.

The birthday girl was serenaded by her friends and family who practiced social distance rules while they sang “Happy Birthday” from her driveway.

Bogner was worried she wouldn’t be able to see her loved ones on her special day, and was pleasantly surprised by her one-of-a-kind surprise party.

“I was very sad because I wasn't going to see my whole entire family but then my mom planned this out for me. And I was so, so like so happy that I just almost cried,” Bogner said.

Olivia’s birthday wish is for coronavirus to go away so people can be reunited with their families.

“My birthday wish was just if this virus could just wish away because this virus is keeping people away from their lives, their family. But it’s nice to be indoor with your family that’s with you,” Bogner said.

Olivia said she is thankful to everyone who came to wish her a happy birthday. She only wishes she could show them how much she loves them.

“I wish I could’ve hugged them all!,” Bogner said.
