Severe weather put an early stop to the Mission Over Malmstrom’s air show Saturday afternoon. The United States Army Golden Knights Parachute Team’s afternoon performance was among the acts canceled.

They’re scheduled to perform again on Sunday around noon and 2:30 p.m.

The Golden Knights serve as “Ambassadors of the Army” and perform all over the world.  They’re made up of 102 people, separated into eight teams.

“Our mission is to perform aeromanuevers for the public, precisely. That’s what we’re known for as the Golden Knights, is being able to do those maneuvers in order to impress the crowd and engage people and get them interested in what we do in the Army,” explained Ssg. Charles Creech.

Our own Shannon Newth is tagging along for a ride with the Golden Knights on Sunday. We’ll share her story and video tomorrow night.
