Fire engulfs hillside home Wednesday night outside Great Falls

GREAT FALLS — Several emergency response agencies responded to reports of a structure fire outside Great Falls late Wednesday night.

Just before 9 p.m., a hillside structure fire was reported at 500 McIver Road.

As of Wednesday night, it is unclear whether any individuals were inside the residence at the time of the fire. The cause of the fire is also unknown.

Some of the responding agencies included the Vaughn Fire and Rescue Volunteer Fire Department, the Black Eagle Volunteer Fire Department, the Gore Hill Volunteer Fire Department and the Cascade County Sheriff’s Office.

The Fort Shaw Volunteer Fire Department was called to the scene for mutual assistance about an hour after initial reports. This list is per a reporter’s observations and is not comprehensive. MTN News will provide an accurate count of responding agencies as they are released.
