Great Falls City Commission seeking applications for ethics committee

(GREAT FALLS) The Great Falls City Commission is looking for people to join the ethics committee.

According to a release from the city manager’s office, the new member would become a voting member if a current member is unavailable or has a conflict.

The Ethics Committee was established through an ordinance and adopted by the city commission in 2017. The purpose of the committee is to ensure all city officers and employees are performing their duties in compliance with the provisions of Montana and City of Great Falls Code.

Applicants must reside within city limits, must be qualified electors and may not be city employees. They should have experience in public administration, governmental operation, political practices and legal practice.

The person chosen for the position will serve through December 2021.

Applications are available online or at the city manager’s office.

Applications are due by Friday, July 19 at 5 p.m.
