Truck stuck under Great Falls railroad bridge

(UPDATE, 5:55 p.m.) 6th Street North has reopened after a truck hauling macaroni and cheese got stuck underneath the railroad bridge early Monday afternoon.

BNSF Railway officials reported there was no structural damage to the overpass.


(1st Report, 12:50 p.m.) Traffic is being diverted around the 6th Street North underpass as a truck hauling macaroni and cheese has become stuck underneath the railroad bridge.

The Great Falls Police Department has closed the road to traffic for the next few hours. The road is located between Park Drive North and River Drive North.

A semi full of macaroni and cheese became stuck underneath the train bridge while traveling south.

Officials asked for drivers to plan for an alternate route.

A similar incident occurred in January 2018 when a semi-truck became stuck under the bridge.
