GREAT FALLS – After a few bumps in the road, Cattlemen’s Cut Steakhouse is set to open in a month.

“I think with the location here, it’s going to be great. We had some setbacks during the process, that set us back about three months. We have worked our way through that,” Owner Julie Meyer said.

Meyer said they are in the final stages of remodeling, painting, repairing and moving in to their new location at 1400 Marketplace Drive.

“Our last restaurant became more of a destination over the years for celebration and we need more of a steady clientele. This building has been available for three years and it was a good opportunity to move in to Great Falls,” Meyer said.

The steakhouse will have a new menu with homemade soups and a salad bar. They’ll offer a private room for banquets and meetings and even a catering service.

“I’ve been in the restaurant industry ever since high school. I have enjoyed working several restaurants and bars. I guess I learned my trade along the way by experiencing the places I have worked,” Meyer said.

She added the products are certified Angus beef and patrons can purchase a steak at any time.

“I’m a workaholic. I enjoy being involved and busy. By being brought up in the restaurant business, I have worked all the positions, which I think is a requirement to fill in anywhere,” Meyer said.

She is excited for the new opportunity in Great Falls.

“I think the location is ideal. It’s in a very high traffic area where we will be meeting new people all the time who will be visiting the Great Falls area. I’m not just doing this for my family, it is a family owned business but I’m doing this for the community and I’m doing this for my customers.”

Meyer hopes to open in mid-July.

Cattlemen’s Cut Steakhouse will be open for lunch Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dinner will be served Monday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The steakhouse (formerly called Cattlemen’s Cut Supper Club) was previously located at 369 South Vaughn Frontage Road near the Manchester Interchange on Interstate 15.
