The Great Falls Original Farmers’ Market returns to the Electric City this Saturday as the 2019 season kicks off at 7:45 a.m.
This year, the market is expanding down the 100 block of Central Avenue as well as to the parking lot south of the Civic Center and south of Park Manor.
The Great Falls Original Farmers’ Market has received almost 200 applications for vendors interested in participating.
This Saturday’s market will accommodate over 150 vendors, including 50 new vendors. There is also an increase in food vendors.
During the off-season, the Great Falls Original Farmers’ Market rebranded with a new website and logo. The market also increased its vendor fees and added a ‘community booth’ fee, which will raise money for a scholarship program.
A portion of Central Avenue and Park Avenue South will be closed to traffic from 4 a.m. to 1 p.m. on June 1. Cars will not be allowed to park on the 100 block of Central Avenue after 2 a.m. Saturday.
A press release states the Great Falls Original Farmers’ Market is a nonprofit organization primarily run by volunteers. For more information, visit the website or Facebook page.
