The City of Great Falls will not be able to livestream or record meetings for the next few weeks as officials are upgrading outdated audio and video equipment.

AVI Systems Inc. began the upgrade on May 13, which has temporarily stopped all broadcasting on City 190, the government access channel.

The channel will normally broadcast City Commission, Planning Advisory Board/Zoning Commission, and Board of Adjustment meetings live and re-airs the recordings one week later.

The installation, programming, testing, and staff training are scheduled to wrap up next week.

City officials hope to have everything up and running again by June 1.

A new method for accessing the livestream will be announced after the system is tested.
