The annual Friends of the Great Falls Public Library book sale began Wednesday afternoon.

Members started to collect books in January and now have thousands of books for sale.

The books cover several genres from children’s books to murder mysteries, romance, and everything in between.

All of the money raised during the sale will be donated back to the Great Falls Public Library, which is meant to cover costs of services not included in the library’s everyday budget.

Friends of the Great Falls Public Library member Andrew Finch said, “Not only does it support the Great Falls Public Library, but it supports reading in the Great Falls community. So, we take the un-wanted books and we re-distribute them to the community. We give people the chance to replenish their libraries.”

The book sale continues Thursday afternoon and admission is now free.

  • Thursday, May 16th from 4-7 p.m.
  • Saturday, May 18th from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
  • Sunday, May 19th from 1-4 p.m. (Sack Sale Day)
