GREAT FALLS – A sign posted Tuesday on the doors of Shopko in Great Falls indicates the store will be open for five more days.
Shopko stores are closing nationwide. The announcement came after Shopko filed voluntary petitions for a court-supervised financial restructuring.
A press release in February stated the company sought to facilitate the restructuring as a result of excess debt and ongoing competitive pressures.
The store reported that despite the company’s efforts, it was unable to find a buyer for its “go-forward business.”
The closure of the Great Falls location was confirmed in February.
