May 1st is the beginning of the outside dining season for some Great Falls downtown restaurants that have pedlets.

A pedlet is a temporary sidewalk made out of wood. The pedlet allows businesses to use the sidewalk as an outdoor dining space while still providing a safe area for pedestrians to walk.

Celtic Cowboy, Enbar and Mighty Mo Brewing Company all have pedlets ready to go.

Burger Bunker hopes to have its pedlet ready by Wednesday or Thursday.

Elevation 3330, which will offer a suspendlet, plans to open sometime soon.

This year, the Great Falls Business Improvement District (BID) will host its first annual Pedlet Passport.

Individuals who want to participate can pick up a passport either at the Downtown BID office at 319 Central Avenue or at any of the five participating locations.

No purchase is required at the five locations where the pedlets are located:

  • Burger Bunker – 24 5th Street South
  • Celtic Cowboy – 116 1st Ave South
  • Elevation 3330– 410 Central Ave, 2nd floor
  • Enbar – 8 5th Street South
  • Mighty Mo – 412 Central Ave

Participants must get a stamp at each location.

Once all five stamps are acquired, you can hand it in to any of the businesses or to the BID to be entered into drawings for raffles.

Winners will be notified by June 14, 2019. Prizes will include downtown gift certificates and gift certificates to participating locations.
