Candidates looking to run in the 2019 municipal election for the City of Great Falls can file this week.
Qualified electors interested in running can file beginning April 18, according to a press release.
The open spots for this fall’s election include the mayor and two city commissioners’ seats as well as a municipal court judge.
Mayoral candidates must be at least 21 years old and a resident of Montana for at least three years. They must also be a Great Falls resident for at least two years preceding the election.
People seeking a commission seat must be a Great Falls resident for at least 60 days preceding the election.
There are also 45 neighborhood council representatives open for all nine districts.
Nominees for election to a neighborhood council must be residents of their designated neighborhood district.
Residents must file at the Cascade County Election’s Office by June 17.
A primary election will take place on September 10 and the general election will be held on November 5.
