NoMore Violence Week is wrapping up their program with “Rock the Town in Hope.”

The idea of the new event is to celebrate resiliency and hope after trauma.

Family Connections Montana Executive Director Kim Stull said people can make sensory bottles, journals, and decorate rocks Friday.

“Art, journaling, music are all ways of building resiliency or coping skills so you can get on the other side of your trauma because through every journey, there is always hope,” Stull said.

The event is a partnership between Alliance for Youth, Family Connections, Paris Gibson Square Museum of Art, and more.

Stull said more people participated in NoMore Violence week than in years past.

“It is important to talk about these serious topics and bring awareness to trauma and its effect on the community,” Stull said.

She added the majority of people have experienced some type of trauma in their lifetime.

“Rock the Town in Hope” starts at 4 p.m. and goes until 6:30 p.m. at the Paris Gibson Square Museum of Art.
