The Cascade County Elections Office will not hold an election for open positions on the Great Falls Public Schools Board of Trustees.
As there were three open seats and only three people filed, an election does not have to be held.
According to the Cascade County Elections Office, Jeff Gray, Gordon Johnson and Mark Finnicum filed before the March 28th deadline.
Johnson and Finnicum will fill the seats vacated by Ann Janikula and Laura Vukasin.
There were no write-in candidates.
Elections officials stated the three candidates have now won by acclamation.
Taxpayers save about $45,000 since an election will not be held.
