You can support local businesses and head to the 8th annual Cash Mob event Saturday morning.

Cash Mob requires three things: spend $20, meet new people and have fun!

The event starts Saturday, April 6 at 10 a.m. at 5th and Wine where attendees can enjoy coffee and mimosas before heading out to shop.

Around 10:30 a.m., a downtown business will be picked out of a hat for attendees to ‘mob.’ The mob heads to the selected area to shop and spend approximately one hour.

Great Falls Business Improvement District Community Director Joan Redeen said, “It gets pretty crowded when we walk in so it’s been a fun time.”

She added the reason for the event is to have fun and support local businesses. “I think that our local business owners are very happy and appreciative when their name is drawn. In some cases it makes their day, I mean that’s 20 people walking in with 20 dollars in their hand. I think it’s a nice little boost for them,” Joan said.

The businesses in the hat are members of the Downtown Great Falls Association and are places that are gender-friendly and accommodate all ages.

In years past, the Cash Mob has been to Dragon Fly, Amazing Toys, Pizzaz, Feather Your Nest, Cassiopeia Books, Big Horn and Candy Masterpiece.
