People near Great Falls with spring fever can now start planning for the warmer months.

Organizers of the 39th annual Home and Garden Show and Sale said vendors have been busy setting up booths at the Montana ExpoPark since Wednesday.

The three-day event, which starts Friday at 3 p.m., features over 300 vendors selling everything from arts and crafts to the latest gardening equipment and landscaping materials.

Organizers said the show brings in around 16,000 people and dozens of new vendors each year, which is a huge economic boost for Great Falls.

“People that come from California, Washington state, Idaho, Nevada, we get them from everywhere and we average about 40 new vendors a year,” said Katie Hanning, executive officer of Home Builders Association of Great Falls.

Matt Graf, owner of Paradise Fencing and Construction in Great Falls, said they have been at the show for around 11 years and have always seen a great turnout.

He added being a vendor at the show each year is huge for his business, which gets four to six months of work from this weekend alone.

“It’s great ’cause we can interact with clients from the past plus we can meet new people and show new products and we get a ton of work out of it, it’s a very beneficial show,” said Graf.

The Home and Garden show runs 3-8 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
