Work for Western Art Week is well underway at the Great Falls Civic Center.

Preparations for the Russell Exhibition and Sale at the Masnfield Convention Center have been going on since Sunday.

On Tuesday, artists from the Russell Skull Society of Artists began moving their work into individual suites for display.

The 23 members of the Skull Society are specially invited by the C.M. Russell Museum.

Their work will be on display and open to the public March 21st through the 23rd in the Mansfield Convention Center.

Artist Carol Hagan of Billings said Western Art Week is a special event because it brings artists and collectors together.

“I have collectors that come every year and I greatly appreciate that because it supports what I do and it supports western art,” explains Hagan. “It supports all the artists in Great Falls that are here to show their work, and to celebrate especially the C.M. Russell Museum and what it means to the west.”

A portion of all art sold at the Skull Society suites will directly benefit the C.M. Russell Museum.
