A storm hitting parts of Colorado with heavy snow and winds is affecting flights in and out of the Great Falls International Airport.

As of 12 p.m. Wednesday, the runways were all closed and no flights were operating in or out of Denver.

More than 1,300 flights have been canceled and people are stranded at the airport.

As for Great Falls, on a normal day, two flights leave for Denver and two flights fly in from Denver. All four of those flights were canceled Wednesday.

United Airlines is trying to book passengers on other carriers if their flight destination goes beyond Denver.
