GREAT FALLS — Health and educational organizations gathered at Paris Gibson Education Center on Saturday to help kids build their brains.
The Brain Building Expo, organized by Family Connections, focused on the development of young preschool-age children.
About 200 families turned out for the event.
Families could explore dozens of games and activities to help children develop basic skills.
Parents were also provided with information on how to help their children advance.
“Our idea, our thought is families already have everything it takes to give their children these skills,” said Family Connections Outreach Coordinator Deb Huestis. “And just showing them how everyday interactions will build brains skills will build confidence so that they can go out and be successful.”
Organizers added that providing these resources is important because a family is a child’s first teacher.
