Farmer’s market expanding into Central Avenue, launching new look

Posted

The Great Falls Original Farmer’s Market will expand into Central Avenue in downtown Great Falls this summer while launching a new look.

Starting in June 2019, the Farmer’s Market will occupy the first block of Central Avenue from the Civic Center (Park Drive North) to 2nd Street South.

The additional space will accommodate extra vendor requests the Market receives in June and July, according to a press release.

Vendors will still be in the parks south of the Civic Center and Park Manor.

In addition to the expansion down Central Avenue, the Farmer’s Market is launching a rebrand for the first time since starting in 1982. The new look will include a new logo and website, which will now accept digital applications and have an updated list of events and activities. The Farmer’s Market is also starting an Instagram account.

The changes follow a successful 2018 season where a holiday tradeshow was held in the Mansfield Convention Center for the first time, according to the press release. A ‘Spring Fever Craft Show’ will take place there on April 13.

To learn more about participating in the Great Falls Original Farmer’s Market, you can attend the annual spring forum meeting on March 22 at 5:15 p.m. at Great Falls College MSU’s Heritage Hall.
