(GREAT FALLS) Restaurant week kicks off in Great Falls on Friday.
It’s the 2nd Annual Restaurant Week hosted by Great Falls Montana Tourism.
“It’s a culinary adventure. We want you to get out and explore,” Great Falls Montana Tourism business development director Jake Bash said.
Eight restaurants in town will have fixed menus, offering $15 lunches and $30 dinner deals.
The restaurants participating are:
- Celtic Cowboy
- Clark & Lewie’s
- Electric City Coffee & Bistro
- Sip n’ Dip
- Teriyaki Madness
Bash said it’s the largest restaurant week in Montana.
He said the reasoning behind restaurant week comes from data that shows visitors spend on average $50 million a year in Great Falls on dining.
He added he hopes to make Great Falls a location for out-of-town people to want to come dine and possibly stay the night.
Bash said restaurant week is a great time for people to try new restaurants and get a taste of Montana.
“My favorite thing about Great Falls is our access to agriculture. I think that fresh ingredient is really trendy and that is something I’m so proud of personally in Great Falls. Take the beer that we drink in Great Falls, those ingredients are grown in a 50 mile radius. The beef that will be sourced during restaurant week is grown here in Montana. That fresh, taste our plate Great Falls value is something that I am proud of,” Bash said.
Clark and Lewie’s are among the restaurants prepping for this week.
Food and beverage manager Donald Johnson said the restaurant got involved in restaurant week because it’s great exposure for them.
He said it’s a great way to bring more people downtown and to encourage them to eat local.
“I think that restaurant week is a good thing to try new places, even if you’ve been here try some different foods that we don’t normally have on the menu. I see it as a team effort with all the restaurants that are involved in this to get people downtown to try all the different spots,” Johnson said.
Great Falls Montana Tourism is encouraging customers to go shopping and receive a 20 percent discount at The Blue Rose and Motifs for the Home as well.
