If you have ever wanted to strap on some skates and hit the ice, here is your chance.

The Great Falls Figure Skating Club is hosting Learn to Skate lessons for the season.

Great Falls Figure Skating Club President Jenn Rowell said students will learn basic skills of figure skating.

“Learn to Skate lessons are for all ages and abilities. Generally, we want kids to be around four or five,” Rowell said.

One Great Falls Figure Skating Club member fell in love with the sport through Learn to Skate.

“I got into figure skating cause my friends were doing learn to skate,” Leann Murphy said. “I decided to come watch. I tried it and I have done it since.”

That was five years ago and Murphy has been gliding across the ice ever since.

Murphy said it was a good way to learn the sport before she had to put a program together.

The organization recently brought back the Winter Warm-Up in December and they hope to expand even more.

“We are hoping to have enough kids in our Learn to Skate program this year so we can bring back our spring ice show in March,” Rowell said.

Registration for Learn to Skate is open until Wednesday evening and lessons are February 1, 15, 22, and March 1, 8, 15 at 5:15-6 p.m at the Great Falls Ice Plex.
