The 2019 MAGIE, the Montana Agricultural Industrial Exhibit, is currently on day two of three.

The MAGIE is Montana’s largest farm and ranch show and this year is said to be bigger than ever before.

This year’s event has 180 exhibitors, which are located both inside and outside the Pacific Steel and Recycling Arena at Montana ExpoPark.

The event offers more heavy equipment and more innovative ideas for your farm or ranch.

One exhibitor, Bouma Post Yards, has attended the MAGIE since it began in 1979 and has only missed one year.

Louie Bouma of Bouma Post Yards said his father started the company in 1953 and they have made a lot of good friends over the years.

Bouma Post Yards makes pressure-treated posts and wood products for agriculture, construction, fencing, landscaping, and custom products.

Some of their products include fence posts, decorate rails, highway sign posts, guardrail and basically anything that is wood. They have a 40-year limited warranty.

Bouma Post Yards has their own treating facility and they also do a lot of their own processing.

Currently, they have locations in Choteau and Lincoln, but Louie’s father is currently in the process of retiring. So, they will close the Lincoln location soon.

Louie added, “We’ve been here for a long time, as you can see the sign says 66 years in it, you know and hopefully many more.”

To get in contact with Bouma Post Yards, you can call 406-362-4222.

The MAGIE will continue on Friday through 5 p.m. Saturday will be the final day of the event and will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
