The Salvation Army in Great Falls is falling behind and they are looking for the public’s help.

The group is still in need of bell ringers to help fill shifts at red kettle sites around Great Falls.

Donations are also behind compared to this time last year.

Major Mark King said they are about $3,700 behind pace right now.

Their goal for the Red Kettle campaign is $80,000 and they will need more ringers and donations to make it happen.

“At this point, we are asking folks in the community to really consider a couple of hours, a half a day or a full day,” he said. “We are asking businesses and organizations in town to consider lending us their employees for a day, if they would allow their employees for all intents and purposes to sponsor a kettle by ringing on our behalf.”

King added they expect to help around 500 families with food and other items this holiday season.
