Robert Dompier, the General Manager at The Heritage Inn confirmed that as of December 1st the Heritage Inn is now independent of Best Western Hotels and Resorts.
The Heritage Inn is located in Great Falls at 1700 Fox Farm Road.
Since its opening in 1972, The Heritage Inn has been affiliated with the Best Western.
But the owners, who have owned the property since the beginning, recently decided they wanted to go independent due to the way people book hotel rooms these days. People no longer just need to go through Best Western, there are a variety of websites that help people book hotel rooms.
It also helps that the inn holds conferences, many times the same ones each year. Dompier said that since 2015, 75% of business has been booked directly through the property.
New signs are expected to go up this week, and will be the same logo that were featured in the 1970s and 1980s.
