Great Falls glows during Parade of Lights

Downtown Great Falls sparkled Saturday night as the annual Parade of Lights took over Central Avenue.

Hundreds of people crowded the sidewalks from 6th Street to Park Drive to watch the procession of festive floats.

The parade ended with Santa Claus lighting the Christmas tree located at the Civic Center.

The holiday festivities continue with the 35th annual Christmas Stroll scheduled for Friday, December 7.

The free event runs 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. along Central Avenue from the Civic Center to about 8th Street. There will be music, food and gift vendors, and more.

Christmas Stroll buttons are now on sale in Great Falls. The artists for this year’s buttons are: Children’s category (truck) is Samantha Delange, and the Adult category is Tana Marble.

The Downtown Great Falls Association said in a press release that the buttons are $5 each, and are available at the following locations: Belle’s & Lace Bridal, Candy Masterpiece, Blue Rose, Brush Crazy, City Bar, Dragonfly Dry Goods, Feather Your Nest, First Interstate Bank – Downtown location only, Downtown Association, Kaufman’s, Mighty Mo Brewing Co., Motifs, MT Mosaics, My Viola, Pizazz, Signature MT.

People who buy a Christmas Stroll button are entered for a chance to win prizes donated from the following businesses:
