A 41-year-old man died in a rollover crash on Overlook Drive Friday night.
The crash was reported to the Great Falls Police Department around 9:25 p.m.
According to the GFPD, the man was the only occupant of the vehicle and appeared to be traveling towards River Drive South at speeds around 70 miles per hour.
Witnesses told the GFPD the driver passed one vehicle before pulling back into the correct lane. The vehicle then went off the road, overcorrected, caught, and rolled several times.
The driver was ejected. The vehicle came to rest near the intersection by Lower River Road.
The man was transported to Benefis Health System, but later died.
Speed and alcohol are suspected factors in the crash.
Responding agencies included the GFPD, Great Falls Emergency Services, Great Falls Fire Rescue, the Montana Highway Patrol, and Public Works.
The victim’s name has not yet been released. The investigation is ongoing.

(November 23, 2018) The Great Falls Police Department is investigating a one-vehicle rollover crash that happened on Friday night.
The crash was reported to the GFPD at about 9:25 p.m. and it happened along Overlook Drive near Lower River Road.
The GFPD says that at least man has been taken to a hospital; the extent and nature of the man’s injuries is not known, but are believed to be serious.
Police are investigating to determine what happened, and ask people to avoid the area if possible as they continue their work.
