MISSING: Great Falls Police searching for 13-year-old boy

UPDATE: 10/28 9:00PM: Matthew has been found safe.

GFPD posted to their facebook:

MATTHEW HAS BEEN FOUND SAFE!! It is because of you Great Falls, that Matthew is in SPO Henderson’s patrol car and headed home to his family right now. Thanks to your shares and those of you that called in your sightings we found Matthew at the Walmart on Smelter Avenue. Sergeant Beecroft expresses his most sincere thanks for everyone’s help. Once again this amazing and awesome community came together to help one of our own. Sleep tight, we’ve got it from here.

ORIGINAL POST 10/28 8:30 P.M. (GREAT FALLS) The Great Falls Police Department is asking for the community’s help in the search for a missing 13-year-old boy.

Matthew left his home on the 2900 block of 2nd Avenue North at 6 p.m. on Sunday and has not returned.

According to the GFPD Facebook post, Matthew has high-functioning autism and is very skittish in the dark.

He is 5’4 with a very thin build, has light brown hair and black framed glasses.

Matthew was last seen wearing a blue and gray Old Navy t-shirt, sweatpants, and socks but no shoes.

GFPD asks that if you see Matthew, do not attempt to contact him but to call 911 immediately and keep an eye on him until an officer arrives.

GFPD currently has every available officer and his family members looking for Matthew.

In their Facebook post, GFPD says that with the cold and wet weather, they are very concerned for his safety.
